FASHION N’ CHILL?

When it comes to design, Elaine Hersby is both a radical fundamentalist and a futurist. Hersby has the radical design philosophy, to design clothes for women, that a made to fit the female body, moves with said body and makes the body feel something called ‘comfortable’. We dont really know of this comfortable (which why our feet looks like the elephant mans face), but it sounds intriguing.

This approach to clothing sets Elaine Hersby apart from the general fashion industry and makes her quite singular. In a way, it’s extremely sad and fatiguing, that clothes designed to be worn comfortably are actually something rebellious – but it is in fashion.

This, we think, speaks well of Hersby’s intellect, in her fundamental way of design (like a form follows function kinda thing) and also paints her as something of an activist and it raises a philosophical question: Should your clothes fit you or should you fit your clothes?

We wont even try to answer that, but just ponder our own insecurities and what our life would be like without them, while we enjoy Elaine Hersby’s beautiful collection:
